In accordance with paragraph 6 of the Rules for Documenting the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an identity card of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan is issued to citizens from the age of 16. According to paragraph 1 of the said Rules, citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, regardless of their place of residence, must have identity documents.
Is the ID valid abroad?
According to paragraph 6 of the Rules for documenting the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the identity card is valid only on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For how long is the identity card issued?
The identity card of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan is issued for a period of 10 years (Clause 6 of the Rules for documenting the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan). Previously issued certificates are considered valid until the expiration of the period of validity specified in them.
In what language are identity cards filled out?
In accordance with paragraph 4 of the Rules for documenting the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the identity card is filled out by the authorized body, at the request of the owner, in the state or Russian languages.
